Very good authentic Japanese. Fresh fish, not a lot of sauce on rolls. Sashimi and nigiri top notch.

Best sushi restaurant in SFBay Area. We've been coming here for over 20 years and absolutely love everything about it. Delicious fresh sushi, simple cozy decor, kind staff and wonderful atmosphere. We leave happier and calmer every single time. Whenever we are in the city, we make sure to visit our favourite sushi spot. A true SF gem!

Located next to my fave breakfast spot in San Francisco (Joy's Place!) is this unassuming spot that serves up a delicious tomato based ramen with clams and perfectly chewy grilled chicken gizzard skewers. I've never had a tomato based broth ramen before but it's soooo much better than the traditional creamy ramen. It was packed with flavor and kind of reminded me of the tomato based Vietnamese soup, bun bao hue.

A chill and cozy little corner. Awesome options that feel authentic (like the mountain potato with umeboshi), but of course they offer Americanized fun rolls, too (like a crunchy roll with tempura bits on top). Prices are awesome for the amazing quality you get. Extra bonus chill and cozy points for getting to choose your own unique sake cup to use when you order hot sake. Love that! I highly recommend this place.

Ron was our server and he was amazing! He was so patient when taking all of her orders, and explained all the dishes to us. The fish was very fresh, my favorite among all the nirigi was probably the seared salmon and the trout. Highly recommend both and the fried bananas!

Loved all of our fresh sashimi from our dinner! We did the sashimi omakase as well as a a sashimi combo which came with some nigiri and california rolls. I'm not sure how they make their california rolls differently since it's such a basic staple but it tasted fresh and i enjoyed it more than most! We also ordered two miso soups to begin our meal and it came out super hot - just the way soup should be! All in all, I really enjoyed the food. Good price for good quality and freshness. The server was so sweet and was very attentive as well! I only knocked off a star because they have a very limited selection when it comes to special rolls.. but if that's okay with you, this place is the place to go!

This restaurant is a gem. Good price. Their omakase is $35 with a great variety nigiri (9 pieces). Ok the atmosphere may not be the best, but the fish they have are the ones that I love most. If you like authentic nigiri and these fish/shellfish (Katsuo, maguro, and mirugai), you have to come here. They are the best! Also the nigiri has a good fish and rice ratio. The chef did an excellent job to enhance the flavor of the fish. We have been here pre and post pandemic and they are still the same. Cons: it's a bit difficult to find parking space.

This place was such a great spot for lunch. Omg was the food incredible. I had the California Roll and the Spider Roll with the miso soup. The soups flavor was incredible. The rolls were both on point. My husband had the Romen noodles and fried Aji. Both again amazing! Definitely worth hitting up if you are around there.
